• Project “Give Strength to the Defender”

    The goal of the project is to raise $100,800 (€88,800) within one year to provide 20 military personnel with a 60-day rehabilitation course each.

    The Challenge

    According to official data, more than 400,000 military personnel have been injured as a result of combat operations.

    Thousands of service members face physical limitations, psychological trauma, and a lack of support after sustaining injuries, making it difficult for them to return to normal life.

    Our Mission

    To help military personnel and their families restore their physical and mental health and return to a full and meaningful life after the war.

    What Do We Aim to Achieve?

    Through this support, each servicemember receives a chance for recovery and the opportunity to live a full life together with their family and loved ones.

    Rehabilitation Program

    Each day of rehabilitation includes:

    • 24/7 care — patients remain under the constant supervision of qualified medical staff;
    • Nutrition — a balanced diet tailored to the body’s recovery needs;
    • Medical support — medications, infusion therapy, health monitoring, and timely treatment adjustments;
    • Intensive rehabilitation — 4 hours daily — physiotherapy, occupational therapy, mechanotherapy, and speech therapy sessions;
    • Access to a swimming pool and gym facilities.

    Our heroes

    Oleg
    Oleg volunteered to go to the front in 2022, defending Ukraine. During a combat mission, he received a severe shrapnel wound to the head and spent 6 days in a coma. After regaining consciousness, he could not move or speak on his own. Months of treatment in state medical institutions stabilized his condition, but further rehabilitation was unavailable.

    Today, Oleg has made significant improvements, but his mobility remains limited. The two-month rehabilitation program within the project gives him a real chance to regain autonomy, walk independently, and return to a full life.

    Required amount: $5,045 (€4,440)

    Vadim
    Vadym from Ivano-Frankivsk. He volunteered to go to the front when he was 22 years old. He was seriously wounded in Donbas, and in 2024 his condition worsened due to an additional injury. Vadym has a spinal cord injury, spinal cord damage.
    Treatment in state institutions did not provide the proper level of rehabilitation due to limited equipment and resources. The project’s intensive comprehensive program will allow Vadym to restore the functions of the musculoskeletal system, improve his psychological state, and regain confidence in his own abilities.
